Deleting files at next operating system restart
LockHunter does it best to forcibly delete a file or a folder. But in some cases
Windows doesn't allow you to delete it even if all connections to the file are closed.
In this case LockHunter offers you to delete the file at next restart of the
operating system. Just choose Other -> Delete At Next Restart menu item...
...restart the computer and the program inform you what files were deleted finally or not.
Displaying more information
When you check "More details" option you can see many hidden details of the
process: process ID, service name (in case if it's a Windows service) and a
process command line.
Auto check for upgrades
The program now automatically checks for upgrades once in 5 days. Besides you
can check for upgrades manually via "Menu -> Check for updates" menu item.
LockHunter now behaves correctly on a multimonitor system, furthermore the program
preserves its coordinates between restarts.
Ability to copy information to clipboard
Just press "Ctrl+C" at a process or a file or right-click and choose
"Copy to clipboard" in order to put all information about the process to the
Unified installer for 32 and 64 bit
Now you don't need to decide which operation system kind you have.
Just download the only installer and use it on any Windows starting from XP.
Files with non latin characters could not be deleted
A "Canvas does not allow drawing" error might happen on
Small Windows 8 graphical issues were fixed
A not existing process might be displayed
Path field didn't accept quoted file or folder names
A click sound was heard when press Enter key in the path field
Explorer and other file managers could be crashing on
unloading shell extension .dll
Technical error might be displayed in some cases on file unlocking
We know that it seems odd that every new version of the program is in beta
status. This version will break this rule and the following version that will be
released soon have only bug fix, ie it will be a stable version. So now we
are in active beta-testing of LockHunter so feel free to contact us
if you find any bugs in LockHunter!

the previous version.
